Simply sensational. We are excited to offer fresh from restoration, this stunning Series 1 Jaguar E-Type Fixed Head Coupe. An icon of motoring and popular culture of the swinging sixties. When launched in 1961,the E-Type offered not just beautiful styling but also staggering performance for the period. Its 3.8 litre twin cam engine produced 265bhp mated to a 4 speed manual gearbox, propelled the E-Type from 0- 60mph in 6.5 seconds and had a genuine top speed of 150 mph. Specifications included independent suspension and disc brakes all around. Produced between 1961 and 1964, the Series 1 E-Type remains the most desirable to collectors worldwide. This exceptional example, an original right hand drive car, is one of just 1798 FHC Series 1 cars manufactured. Originally delivered new in March 1963 to Ivor Arbiter, designer of the Beatles logo famously displayed on Ringo Starrs drum kit. This car has a known history from new and was rescued from long term disuse in 2015, having covered just 44,850 miles. Now structurally, cosmetically and mechanically restored to outstanding standards by highly skilled restorers. The car is finished in its original Carmen Red with Beige hide interior and retains its original and matching numbers engine and gearbox. Supplied with its original UK registration number, original buff log book and history file including a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate confirming its build specifications and with a full photographic record and narrative of the restoration works undertaken. This iconic E-Type is now ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian, for any concours or motoring event. Early viewing and inspection is highly advised.
